This is a clarification on how to remove the lower unit of my 50 horsepower Mercury outboard. I do not feel the most disconcerting, to find and remove the 5 screws in reality is to understand how to remove the stem (aka shift linkage). No videos on another account for Mercury very good, so the purpose of this video. Step 1 - Access to the shift linkage shaft / shift: Mercury moving through tree / displacement connection of four parts: a threaded rod below the bottom lock nut M10M10 and the threaded stem to top. ..
